Triwin Games is an online casino games publisher headquartered in Shenzhen, China. The company was founded in 2018 and captivates millions of players worldwide with its wide-ranging portfolio of engaging mobile games.

Finding and re-engaging relevant users

The Challenge

The primary challenge for Triwin Games was enhancing ROAS while maintaining user engagement and loyalty, particularly for their popular title, Tycoon Casino. Their existing advertising strategy focused on user acquisition that amplified each user's lifetime value (LTV), however the company struggled obtaining a high return on ad spend and needed support to develop an effective app re-engagement strategy. The changing mobile privacy landscape also necessitated allocating Triwin’s budget effectively between operating systems to navigate Apple's Tracking Transparency Framework (ATT).

Triwin Games worked with Remerge to retarget their Android users in North America, Tycoon Casino’s largest market. The campaign was focused on segmenting users based on past purchase behaviour and tailoring ads to align with time-sensitive promotions. Segmenting users based on their purchase history

The approach involved segmenting Tycoon Casino’s audience based on their purchase history, identifying key groups such as:

  1. Inactive high-net-worth users
  2. Inactive low-net-worth users
  3. Active non-paying users

This segmentation allowed for highly targeted campaigns, reaching out to previous buyers with ads relevant to their interests and past purchases. The strategy included tailoring promotions based on users’ engagement history and crafting campaigns to convert non-payers into first-time buyers.

Enhancing the ad experience

The retargeting ads featured time-limited game promotions to encourage users to interact with the app. The designs were meticulously crafted in collaboration with Remerge’s in-house creative agency to reflect the next steps in the user’s journey within Tycoon Casino, enhancing the overall in-app experience.
